Dear Amnon,
In August of 1995, the Americas Region embarked on a restructuring
of its field sales force to attain higher levels of sales
productivity and maximize sales territory coverage and potential.
The purpose was to create an optimal balance between the
focus on reseller and end user major accounts demand generation.
In order to facilitate the transition, we needed to create
a stronger sales culture based on self-management, accountability,
discipline and focus. Based upon your proven success with
AST Canada, we engaged Performax to help us design a sales
process, customize your territory management tools, and
train our field sales management and sales professionals
in the application of these methodologies and tools.
Our transition is still in progress, yet we have been able
to attain a higher degree of synergy within our sales force,
owing in great measure to your processes and tools. These
have now been integrated into our sales management system,
and we are committed to making these processes sustainable
and a "way of life" within AST. In fact, we will make it
mandatory for all new TAMs, NAMs and CAMs to take the "Opportunity
Management for AST Sales Professionals" workshop as part
of the new hire program within 60 days of integration into
their territories.
I would like to commend you and Performax for helping us
achieve our objectives in these challenging and competitive
times by making the effort to gain an in-depth understanding
of our business needs and our unique sales challenges. The
combination of your depth of experience and your practical
pragmatic sales methodologies and tools have earned you
the respect of the AST field sales force and management
team.
